Before stepping into the public sector, I worked as a journalist and in public relations. First, I was an entertainment and community reporter in Pasadena. A news producer for Fox 12 Oregon in Portland and NBC 16 in Eugene, covering the 2016 election, the Road to Rio Olympic track and field trials, and community events. Clients included Disneyland, Vallarta Supermarkets, and health agencies across California.
I hold an M.S. in Strategic Communication from the University of Oregon and a B.A. in Journalism from California State University, Fullerton, with a minor in Latin American Studies.

Storytelling for Government and News
As a former news producer, I have utilized my storyboarding, scriptwriting, and visual skills to develop storytelling opportunities for economic development, a voter education series, American Rescue Plan funding recovery, and 90-second news recaps. Watch some of my work here.

Government Media Relations
I lead media relations for local government, serving as a trusted liaison between city leadership and the press. My work includes coordinating press conferences and developing run of show documents and talking points for city leaders and the Mayor. I support high-visibility and sensitive issues with clear messaging, strong news judgment, and cross-department coordination to maintain accuracy and public trust. See my work here.

Public Information Officer & Spokesperson
I have served as a spokesperson for both County and City agencies, conducting interviews in English and Spanish. I am a confident PIO during weather-related emergencies, community engagement topics surrounding housing insecurity, and sharing vital election information with the community to create trust in the election process.
